Christian's team won their soccer grand final!

What a nail biting grand final game it was yesterday when Christian's team the Lismore Thistles versed the Ballina Seahorses! Thistles were originally down 1-0 but came back to win 3-1 :-) They were not only grand final winners but also point score champions for the season too.

Ethan the soccer star!

Ethan's team played their last game's for the season on Saturday. It was pouring with rain and pretty awful weather really.

Ethan has only scored one goal this season - to which he earnt $2.00 for the goal. So the last 2 weekends Brendan and I have promised to give him $10.00 per goal. Well Ethan scored 1 goal and nearly got another one :-) He bought some GI Joe "dudes" with his money.

We had presentation on Saturday afternoon.

I really like the trophies this year - they are very cute.

Ethan's 7th "army man" birthday party

Ethan wanted an "army man" party for his 7th birthday party - I made the cupcakes and made sure that we had plenty army "dudes" and ephemera around for the party.

Reiss has turned 1!!!!

Reiss has celebrated his 1st birthday! He turned 1 on 17th July. Wow the last year has just flown - he has grown so much and is nearly a toddler.

We had a birthday party for him at our house and just had our close friends and family attend.

Here are some pics of the birthday boy:-

On his birthday he had 3 teeth - but now he has 4 teeth.

He is still a breastfeed baby and really loving all food - he even had our curry the other night and loved it.

He is really trying to make new sounds and is now saying "ta" (thank you) - so cute!!!

We just adore him and are loving watching him grow up (although it all seems to be happening too quickly for me - lol)

I cannot believe that Reiss is now 11 months old!

He is:-

* crawling on all fours but still doing some commando crawling

* starting to try and pull himself up on things

* so expressive with his noises/babbling and squealing

* loves to snuggle

* is a real mummys boy at the moment and wants no one but me

* has just started 2 days of day care in a centre (I have started to work more days now)

* is still a breastfed baby :-)

We think he is just gorgeous!

Ethan lost his first tooth!

Ethan has had a couple of loose teeth for a while now but on Monday his bottom tooth came out (with a little help). He was just so excited that his first tooth had come out and that the tooth fairy was going to come and give him some money.

The tooth fairy came on Monday night took his tooth and left $2.00 for him.

Gee the months are just flying past - Reiss is 10 months old today!

Reiss is:-

* Wearing size 1 wondersuits (he started wearing them a few weeks ago)

* Loving his food - having 3 meals at least a day plus breast feeds

* Getting up on all fours and rocking

* Sitting for long periods of time

* Loving Giggle & Hoot on ABC TV

* His favourite TV show is Waybuloo

* Has started "clicking" with his mouth

* "Talking" lots and lots

* Ticklish on his chest and around his neck

* Adorable!

Here are some pics I took yesterday of Reiss and the bear that my Dad bought him when he was born, I am trying to take pics regularly with Reiss and the bear.

Red Shoes and Cupcakes

It was my birthday on Wednesday and I got spoilt! I got a pink Zutter and pink carry case from Brendan and the boys, got taken out to lunch by Mum and Dad (it was a lovely lunch and shared a bottle of wine with mum), I bought some red shoes & some black shoes and a top (from Mum and Dad), Nicky brought over the most devine chocolate cupcakes for my birthday and I got a lovely felt cupcake handmade by Tanyah :-)

Here are my new red shoes, I just love them! I have always wanted to have a pair of red shoes since watching Wizard of Oz as a young girl (it is still one of my fave movies and I still love watching it) and I have never owned red shoes until now.

Here are the chocolate cupcakes that Nicky made - they were so very yummy! They looked gorgeous and they tasted devine :-)

It's the best sound in the world! Reiss has starting saying "mum" now - he started it on the weekend and is saying it all the time - I just love it! So his 3 words at the moment are mum, dad and bub - plus all the other sounds that he is making and experimenting with :-)

Reiss @ 9 months

I cannot believe that Reiss is now more than 9 months old! Wow, time is really flying by so fast at the moment. Everyone is telling me that he is such a "little boy" now - that makes me sad that he is going to be a toddler soon and not my baby baby anymore.

His stats at 9 months are:-

Weight - 10.76 kgs

Height - 75.5cm (he grew 1cm in a month!)

Head circumference - 46cm

He is loving his food and his eating at least 3 meals a day, I am still breastfeeding and feed on demand.

He is pretty mobile, although still not crawling yet (he is starting to get up on all fours at the moment), he rolls himself everywhere, he is starting to roll away from us at the moment and go into his room or our bedroom from the loungeroom. His smile just melts my heart, he is just adorable!

I am still yet to get a look-in in the talking department - still all bubba and dadda.

Bel's Baby Shower

On Saturday I was very excited to be hosting a baby shower for my good friend Belinda and baby snowflake :-) I decorated the house in snowflakes and elephants (the theme for their nursery) and pink and blue as they dont know the sex of their baby. I made cupcakes with pink and blue elephants holding snowflakes - I think they are really cute (Thanks to Nicky for making the blue elephants).

The day was fantastic! Everyone had a great time, we played some games, had lots of laugh, ate lots of food and snowflake got spoilt.

Oh my goodness! I cannot believe that our baby is now 13!!!! Where has the last 13 years gone ? Christian has just grown up too fast, well all the boys are growing up too fast really. Christian is in Year 8, his favourite band is Muse, he loves playing RPG PC Games, playing with his ipod and listening to music, he still loves playing Yu-Gi-Oh (trading card game) and soccer.

Tonight we are having take-away chinese for dinner, chocolate mud cake for desert and then going to watch the latest episode of Survivor :-) Christian is having his friends over for a sleepover next weekend.

A day at the beach

Friday last week Bel and I took the boys down to the beach. It was a gorgeous day down there. The boys had a blast having races up and down the beach, as well as playing around in the water. Bel and I sat in the beach tent with Reiss. Reiss seemed to enjoy the beach as well as eating the sand - LOL. We stayed down there for a couple of hours, we didnt really want to leave :-)

I took some pics (heaps actually) mainly of Reiss but also of Bel and her gorgeous pregnant belly (31w 1d).

A day at the park

On Good Friday Tanyah and I took the kids to the local park. It was such a beautiful day to be out and about with the kids. The weather was just delightful and there was a really nice breeze too :-) I put Reiss in the swing and he just loved it.

Homemade Pies

Brendan made this delicious beef stew on Friday night and on Tuesday night he made them into little pies - yummo!

Ethan wanted a smiley face on his plate, so Brendan made one for him :-)

Peter Rabbit Reiss

I have to admit that I have a bit of a Peter Rabbit fetish. I love the books and I also have loved dressing the boys in Peter Rabbit clothing. I havnt bought any for a few years, but I still have heaps of the clothing ready to dress Reiss in. I bought this Peter Rabbit Rabbit suit for Ethan's first Easter in 2004 and I searched high and low for it on the weekend so I could dress Reiss up in it.

I took Reiss up to mum and dads yesterday to put Peter Rabbit in the garden and take some photos. Here are some of the shots that I took.

Weekend at Mt Tamborine

We spent the weekend up at Mt Tamborine with good friends of ours Mark and Fleur. It was our first trip up there and we just loved it! It is so beautiful up there.

We went to the Mt Tamborine Distillery and had a taste test :-) We went to a gorgeous waterfall and the boys had a swim. We also went up to the lookout - just amazing! There is a very yummy fudge shop up there - I would highly recommend the turkish delight fudge, yummo!

Reiss update

Well our gorgeous little man is now over 8 months old!

At his 8 month check up he weighed in at 10.36kgs and 74.5cm long - he is nearly wearing size 1 Wondersuits.

He is so mobile now - rolling and getting himself to where he wants to go. Not crawling yet but pretty close to it - I am sure it wont be long. He is so quick the way he is getting himself around at the moment, he is only going to get quicker.

On Friday he cut his very first tooth - he put my finger in his mouth and found a very sharp tooth in there.

School Days Layout

This is the latest layout I have created for Scrap n Craft With T using the Kaisercraft On the dot Collection papers and matching brads.

My mum had given me a few of my school photos - all are from different years and of course they are different sized photos, I thought it would be a great idea to incorporate all the photos on one page. I am really happy with the end result of this layout :-)

I have also used American Craft Thickers and Sam & Lucy Tiny Alpha's.

My hubby Brendan is a very talented musician. He is currently writing and performing his own electronic dance music under the name "Cenobite". Last year he played at Splendour in the Grass festival at Byron Bay (as well as other dance music festivals) and this year so far he is booked to play at several dance music festivals :-)

Superbaby!

Christian often plays a game with Reiss - by holding him up above him and saying "superbaby". I thought it was quite appropriate when I saw a Superman t-shirt at Cotton Kids, that I buy it for Reiss.

I have to admit that I think Reiss looks very cute indeed wearing his Superman t-shirt.

Crop for Girl Guides

On Saturday I attended a crop at the Cleveland Girl Guides Hall, which was organised by Amanda.
It was a great night! I managed to do 2 layouts and start working on an entry in my art journal :-) Reiss was very well behaved too and really enjoyed "partying" with us girls.

The very lovely Tracey was kind enough to have Tanyah, Reiss and I stay with her - we had lots of fun chatting, laughing, eating chocolate and having a few drinkies at her place afterwards and we did a little craft shopping this morning.

I have come home feeling very inspired and eager to do some more creating!

Funnily enough I didnt take my camera to the crop so I dont have any photos to post of us girls scrapping - there is always next time.

7 months!

Wow, Reiss is 7 months old today! Gee time is flying by really fast! He is sitting up - although a bit wobbly, he is rolling everywhere on the floor, he loves jumping in the jolly jumper and he is loving his food.

I have started back at work now, I am working 2 days per week (Monday and Tuesday). I have just finished my second week back at work - it has been tiring but good as well. Reiss is doing well without me and he is drinking expressed breast milk out of a bottle (which is great).

I really havnt done that much creating in the last week, but hope to scrap tonight with Nicky :-)

I hope to be able to share some more scrapbooking soon.

Gorgeous Chubba Bubba

Reiss is such a little chubba bubba - in the most adorable way of course. I just love looking at his "thunder thighs" and chubby belly. He weighs 10kgs and boy does he feel heavy!

I looked through the other boys' blue books to see when they weighed 10kgs and they didnt weigh 10kgs until they were 10 months and 11.5 months, Reiss isnt even 7 months old yet!

A rare photo op

With my sister living so far away (Airlie Beach) it is rare that we all get together at the same time (my sister, mum and I). So when my sister and the kids came down for a visit last month, we took the opportunity to take some pics of the kids and while we were at it - we thought we should at least have a photo of the three of us together.

I really love this photo that Brendan took of us - I have already scrapbooked it!

I have been doing some creating lately, but I can't share at the moment.

A sleeping baby

Reiss is teething at the moment - poor bubba :-( So him sleeping at night time has been a bit trying with him waking up a lot during the night. So it is just a beautiful sight to see him sleeping so peacefully - there is nothing better than watching a baby sleep :-)

First day of school for 2010

So school has started for another year, Ethan started Year 1 yesterday and Christian started Year 8 today. Ethan really enjoyed his day at school yesterday, after being close to tears in the morning - they have changed the kids classes around, he is looking forward to science today. I am not sure if I will get much conversation from Christian this afternoon about his first day of Year 8 - LOL. They are both growing up way too quickly!

A scrapbooking Saturday night

Saturday night was a very creative and fun night! Tanyah and Nicky both came over to my house and we scrapped til we dropped (nearly) Tanyah didnt leave until 12.45am. We all had our creative juices flowing, even Ethan wanted to sit up with us and scrapbook too. I managed to do 3 layouts on the night, which I am really happy about. I have done a lot of scrapbooking the last week, 9 layouts! (I can't share any at the moment though)

Baby Bella

Last week my sister came down for a visit from Airlie Beach, bringing down the newest addition to the family baby Bella (7 weeks old) :-)

We had a lovely visit with my sister Belinda and her kids (Chloe, Zachary and Bella) - we went to the park, went shopping, went swimming, chatted, laughed and most importantly we took lots of photos - LOL.

I offered to do a photoshoot for my sister and the kids while she was here and here a few shots that I took while she was here:-

We wanted to take some photos of Reiss and Bella together (that was interesting) LOL, don't they always say "dont work with children and animals!" . I got a few good shots of them together, but just had to share this one of Reiss grabbing Bella's arm and sucking it - too cute!

For my Christmas present this year, I told Brendan that all I wanted was professional family photos done. Well I got my wish :-) I had the very talented Brisbane photographer Rachel Richter do our family session. We drove up to Brisbane for the day to get the photos done. Reiss update

I can't believe that Reiss is 6 months old today! Where has this time gone ? He is an absolute joy and we just adore him. He is trying to sit up on his own, he can sit up on his own for a few seconds and then looses his balance, he is squealing and "talking" very loudly, he is such a real little character. His 6 month stats are :- weight 9.12kgs and height 69.5cm

Embellish This Competition

The "Embellish This" competition is being held here. I was lucky enough to make it through 4 of the 6 rounds of the competition. It was a great competition - so very inspiring and challenging to get us to think out side our normal comfort zone and do something a little bit different.

Another Reiss update

Reiss @ 16w 6d now weighs 7.2kg, length 66cm and head circumference 42cm.

Reiss is now "talking" so much, giving us the biggest giggles - which are absolutely adorable :-), he has now rolled over from his tummy to his back, he has had his first swim in mum and dads pool, he is also reaching for toys and "playing" with them.

Seeing a little snowflake again :-)

I was asked again by a very good friend to be her support person for her 10 week scan as her DH was working again and unable to attend. It was absolutely amazing to see her little snowflake again, snowflake has grown and changed so much since the last time. We saw snowflake do a little jump which was so very exciting and cute. Everything is looking absolutely perfect with her little snowflake, which is such great news. It was an absolute honour to share this experience with her again.

Dreamworld

We took the boys to Dreamworld and Tanyah, Katie and Ben also came along with us. Before we left we measured Ethan to see how tall he was and we discovered that he was 120cm tall which happened to be tall enough to go on all the thrill rides at Dreamworld, something that he has always wanted to go on. The first ride of the day was the Raptor Rollercoaster. Ethan went on the Cyclone rollercoaster 3 times and also went on the Tower of Terror. Tanyah and I went on the Cyclone together with the kids - it was definitely a thrill going on that and Tanyah and I screamed and laughed the whole ride. It was a very busy and very fun day for everyone - we all had a great time :-)

Took Reiss to the ECN today for a check up - @ 13w 5d he weighs 6.56kg, length 62.5 and head circumference 41cm.

On Tuesday 20th October I had the great pleasure in being the support person for a very dear friend for her early pregnancy ultrasound. Her husband was not able to attend the appointment and I was attending in lieu of him. The scan was amazing, we saw the little snowflake in her tummy and the heart was pumping away - it was a magical experience to share with her :-)

Girls Night In

On Saturday night Tanyah, Reiss and I travelled to Brisbane to attend the Girls Night In that had been arranged by Gypsy at Scrapchat. The wonderful Tracey was kind enough to let us stay with her and scrap away :-)

We all met up at the Girl Guides Hall in Cleveland and we scrapped, chatted, had fun and of course raised money for Girls Night In. Reiss was very well behaved during the night and I managed to scrapbook a mini album over the Saturday night/Sunday. Here it is, the papers I used were Crate Paper Lilian Range and I bought it here.

Been busy!

Gee I have been quite busy since my last post, where should I start ?

Well, we have had our 15 year high school reunion on the October long weekend. It was held at the Lismore Heights Bowling Club. We had a really good turn out of about 80 people (which included partners). It was amazing to catch up and see people that I hadn't seen basically since we left school.

Wow, the last 11 weeks has gone by so quickly! I cant believe that Reiss is already 11 weeks old. His personality is coming through now, he is giving us the most awesome smiles, giggles and is really starting to "talk" now. Here are a few pics of him that I had to share.

After a very long time away from my blog I was very inspired by my friends Tanyah and Tracey to revamp my blog and to also start blogging.

Well a lot has happened in the last year or so, we have been very lucky to have welcomed another addition to our family - Reiss born 17th July.

Here are some pics of our gorgeous boys, whom we just love to bits.

Well after joining Blogger in October last year, I thought I better actually use the blog that I started working on back then!

It was Ethan's 5th Birthday party today and the theme was Indiana Jones. So Brendan and I made a "cave" in the backyard for the party - we had a big spiders web hanging down, snakes and also some creepy crawlies. The kids had a great time, although the boys were very noisy!

Then Tanyah and I went and visited a good friend in hospital who has just had a baby. It was lovely to catch up with her.
