Soundwave - Part 1, Alice in Chains

I have loved the band Alice in Chains since I first started listening to them in the early '90's.  For me they are grunge/rock with amazing harmonized vocals.

I have never had the opportunity to see them live before so when I found out they were playing at Soundwave 2014, I knew I had to get tickets!!!!

We had a fantastic spot centre middle to front of the D section of the stage, it was the perfect spot.

They were FANTASTIC!  I am still speechless about the experience, it was just incredible.   They were amazing, but it was the people that I shared it with too that made the experience what it was (Bren, Josh and Ez).

I cried when they played Nutshell (which they dedicated to Layne Staley and Mike Starr) - it was a super emotional part of the set.  One of my favourite Alice in Chains songs performed so incredibly and dedicated to two amazingly talented and departed members of the band.

William DuVall is a phenomenal front man - his voice and presence were fantastic.

(I have certainly used the words amazing and fantastic alot in this post - but there are just not enough words to describe seeing them perform live).
