I made a doll!!!!!!! (the second doll I have made)

I spent the Australia Day long weekend with my gorgeous friend Theresa on Macleay Island, QLD.  Theresa is a super talented doll maker and her doll label is Sami Dolls - be sure to check them out here.

We decided that it would be fun to make a doll while I was staying - I have previous made my first waldorf doll for a Xmas Doll Swap in 2012.

These are my progress iphone shots to making my second doll - I am super proud at how she turned out.  I did everything on her except finalising her eyes - the eyes made me too nervous, so Theresa kindly took over for me.  She is wearing some clothes that I had in my stash, I am going to make her some funky clothes in the next week or so (when I get a chance).

Big Day Out 2014!

I attended the Gold Coast Big Day Out 2014 on Sunday 19 January with my hubby and good friend Sara.

We all had a blast!  It was a great day, although it was very very hot (which is usual for BDO in January).

The absolute highlight of the day was PEARL JAM!  This is the first time I have seen Pearl Jam since I fell in love with their music and had a crush on Eddie Vedder some 20 years ago.  They were AWESOME!!!!!!!!  They played for 2 hours 20 mins - although Eddie wanted to keep going but they wouldnt let him.

We also saw Primus and Mudhoney - which was a great blast from the past.  We saw a few different things in the boiler room and saw some of Northlane.

I love live music!

I absolutely love getting out and about seeing live music!

The first live act for the year was Karnivool and Dead Letter Circus in Brisbane on Saturday night.  Was a great night spent with my hubby and a good friend.

Batman Reiss

Reiss still loves Batman!  At 4.5 Batman is still his favourite super hero.  Anything from cartoon Batman, original Batman & Robin (with Adam West) to the early 90's Batman movies.  He would like to watch the new Batman movies when he is bigger as they are too scary for him now.

 He does like Iron Man, Superman and Spiderman but Batman is the one.

Reiss has recently discovered a love for lego - so he does have some superhero lego, with more to come I am sure.

HAPPY 2014!

Wow, I cant believe that it is already 2014!

Well this is my first post for the year (hopefully I can keep up with this blog this year).

I am very much looking forward to listening to some great live music with my hubby and also attending events with good friends.

I have signed up to do two photography projects so far: #365grateful and #lego_challenge. 

I am looking forward to growing my photography business and also getting back into scrapbooking and sewing.  I am still working on some crochet blanket projects at the moment.
